From the past until now, power in the international system has been changing and evolving, and in this way, various actors have gained power and gradually declined. After the Treaty of Westphalia and the establishment of an order based on nation-states, the main power conflict in the world arena focused on the axis of nation-states in Western Europe in the framework of the balance of power. Then the non-European competitors changed the nature of the world power system towards bipolar, unipolar and hegemony. International relations thinkers have different classifications based on the distribution of power at the level of the international system, such as Morton Kaplan, who proposed six structural models based on historical and non-historical models. Divisions that show the fluidity and evolution of the global power system in the past, present and future.

Examining various issues and looking at the crises that are formed and spread in the region and the world, as well as the developments of the international system, the nature of actors and sources of power, along with components such as security, politics, economy, environment, Energy, etc., as well as Iran's position in this power system, are very important in understanding the scenarios facing the world power system.

Considering the global developments at the national, regional and global levels, as well as the need for exchange of ideas among experts and the development of research literature in this field, the World Studies Association, in cooperation with the University of Tehran, is trying to provide a platform in format of the international conference to examine the perspective of global power from a structural, theoretical and practical point of view in various subject areas.
